Kennispoort Verloskunde is the digital knowledge portal for the roughly four thousand midwives practicing in the Netherlands. It provides knowledge and information, stimulates exchange of knowledge between professionals in this field and promotes dialogue between academic research and practice. AVAG was one of the co-founders of the portal.
The Kennispoort Verloskunde website offers research results, news, background information and discussions as well as details of courses, congresses and vacancies in your field. You can also download the monthly newsletter and select back numbers from the annual index to get an overview of all the midwifery research currently being performed in the Netherlands. Kennispoort Verloskunde also organizes an annual national congress; the next one will be held in February 2014.
